Gendered Peace Symposium

Gendered peace is a concept that recognizes the importance of gender equality in creating and sustaining peaceful societies. It is based on the understanding that gender inequality drives conflict and that promoting gender equality is essential for building positive peace. A gendered approach to peace aims to address the root causes of conflict by recognizing and challenging the power imbalances that lead to discrimination and violence against women, girls, and other marginalized genders.

The virtual symposium aims to build solidarity, and peace through a world of gender justice, and women’s human rights. It desires to integrate women, peace, and security into various aspects of society and promote opportunities for meaningful participation of women in peacebuilding efforts
